Today we learn of the sad death of Harry Shelton Pick of Bourne who died today serving his country with the 109th Battery, Royal Field Artillery.

He will be missed by all in the town, his sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Today we learn of the sad death of Alfred Kingsford of Bourne who died today serving his country with the 8th Battalion The Welsh Regiment in Gallipoli.

He will be missed by all in the town, his sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Today we learn of the sad deaths of two of our young men of Bourne James Burt and Edward James Backlog both serving with the 1st Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment in the Ypres sector of our lines in Belgium. Our condolences to their families.

They will be missed by all, their sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Today we learn of the sad death of Ellis Parker of Bourne who died today serving his country with the 1st battalion Lincolnshire Regiment in Belgium. Ellis, born in Grimsby, was resident in Thurlby before enlisting.

He will be missed by all his friends and family, his sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Today we learn of the sad death of Ernest Codling of Bourne who died today serving his country with the 1st 4th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment. Ernest had joined the territorial force early in 1913 and was called up when war was declared. Our sympathies have been sent to Mr and Mrs John Codling of 3 Woodview Bourne for the sad loss of their son.

Today we also had news of the sad death of Abel seamen Cecil Armstrong Hornsey of Bourne. Cecil was serving with the Royal Navy on  board H.M.S. Brisk when he was accidentally knocked overboard by the recoil of No 4 gun.

They will be missed by all, their sacrifice will not be forgotten.
