    News has this week been received of the death in action of Pte. g. E. Grummitt, of the London Regiment. The notification was sent to the father of deceased, Mr. Geo. Grummitt, who resides in the Council Cottages, Bourne.  Grummitt was a native of Bourne, and for serval years was porter at Bourne Union, and at the time of his enlistment was in Poor Law service at Woolwich.
